Tweaking Ancient Games

My Iterated Game Tablut

One of the ancient game that i will iterate is Tablut.

The first iteration was when i explored around with the rule for the game. I changed a bit of the rule and added 5 players to see the difference if the game will balance out perect but also giving a more chance for the attacking team to capture their king. Didn't get to test it out becasue i was still in develop or thinking more ideas for the iterated game.

The second iteration was adding an X mark onto the board game when successfully capturing a piece it becomes unavailable to be used. This was to give the king and the defending team a bit more advantage since their going up against 4 players that are trying to capture the king. Also i changed the rule of every pieces that moves from any number of space and restrict the limit of having to move one or two space from horizontal to verical

The third iteration was testing out my iterated game with my fellow classmates. After they tried out the iterated game there was some successful and some errors. What was successful was the increased number of having more players for more chance to caprute the king. The error was they was confused on how they can "sandwich" the king if it was going to be the same or bit different. It was one of the rules i forgot to think about if the game was going to have more people in it.
